In February 2014, the White House honored Reagan as a STEM Access Champion of Change ~ a program created to highlight people and organizations that are empowering and inspiring members of their communities.
Part of C-STEM's mission is to transform schools ~ especially inner-city urban schools ~ through sustainable models of STEM education. Teachers train in hands-on, project-based learning. Students apply their STEM knowledge to complex problems, practice leadership skills and explore STEM careers. The result? Thousands of pre-college students interested in STEM careers and prepared to solve real-world problems.
