Lizzie intended her game to make kids anti-monopolists who would grow up to take on the Carnegies and Rockefellers of the world...but, even she acknowledged that players generally loved to accumulate money at the expense of others.
This is the board-game diagram included in Lizzie's 1924 patent application for The Landlord's Game. She had already been granted one patent in 1904. The inventor sold her second one to Parker Bros. for $500 in 1935.
