Today, Ellen's a top tv host with her own show, but she had to go through some tough times to get there. After working her way up the stand-up ladder to earn her own sitcom, she made the bold move to come out as gay on air. It took a while for her courage to be rewarded, but, in the end, the biggest reward was inspiring people around the world to "live their truth."
Ellen's talk show premiered in 2003. Since then it has won more than 25 Emmys and hosted some of the biggest names from around the world ~ including First Lady Michelle Obama, whose guest appearance corresponded with the second anniversary of her "Let's Move!" initiative to improve children's health. Ellen helped celebrate by showing off her best moves!
